The Countryside of Mongolia - 2012
Being so vast and remote, trying to see more than a small fraction of the country in a single visit is impossible. My decision was to limit the trip to the north central portion of the country, an area of vast steppes and rugged mountains. This is a land of nomadic herders following the best grazing lands and of larch forests. If Montana is big sky then Mongolia is infinite sky. These photos only give you a brief glimpse of this special place.
