Norm Crisp of Prairie Village, Kansas is Owner and Head Guide. Norm is an internationally known fly fisherman, author, teacher/lecturer and water resources scientist. Norm began fly fishing over thirty years ago as a boy growing up in New Hampshire. Since leaving there he has continued fly fishing throughout North America and many parts of the world including Russia, Nepal, Scotland, England, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, the former Yugoslavia and even the Atlas Mountains of Morocco in North Africa. Norm has written several articles about fly fishing for trout and his travels in search of trout.
J. Preston Larimer of Buena Vista, Colorado is an Associate, guide and instructor. Preston has over 30 years of fly fishing and fly tying experience, both in fresh and salt water. Professionally trained as a Wildlife Biologist, he has taught natural resources, environmental education and biology on both the college and high school level. He served several years as the Midwest representative to the Natural Resource Board and the National Leadership Council of Trout Unlimited. He is a skilled naturalist, birder, and photographer. To date, Preston has caught trout in at least 22 different states, including most of the native subspecies of cutthroat trout of the Rockies, steelhead, Pacific and Atlantic salmon, native brookies and redbands. Also an experienced traveler, Preston has traveled in Australia, Asia, the Caribbean, and regularly leads trips to the Central American country of Belize. He and his wife Nora run the Rock Run gallery on the banks of the Arkansas River in Buena Vista.
Sarah Dominic, growing up in the Jacona area of New Mexico, has fished many of that region’s rivers and streams, from the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico to the San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado. Additionally, for the past six years, Sarah has spent her summers fishing many of Wyoming’s most famous locations. For the last two years, between fishing trips, Sarah has worked as a wrangler at Santa Fe's prestigious Bishop's Lodge leading mountain trips and trail rides. Sarah is majoring in Animal Sciences, with a focus on Equine Science at New Mexico State University. Sarah knowledge of the streams on the west slope in the Encampment area make her STREAM SIDE ADVENTURES “Cutthroat guide”.
Duane Brandt is an associate guide and leads Stream Side Adventures’ trips in Rocky Mountain National Park, and conducts Fly Fishing Schools in Texas. Duane splits his time between Houston, Texas, Estes Park, Colorado and Los Angles, California where his wife, Connie Cooper, is an actress. Duane began fly fishing in Rocky Mountain National Park in 1972 and has spent time on nearly all its streams and lakes. He has “trout and redfished bummed” his way around the west and the Gulf Coast. Duane is an active member of the Guadalupe River Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Ethan Crisp has been fly fishing and tying for over 20 years. He has fished throughout Wyoming, Montana, Missouri and the Patagonia region of Chile. For the past 3 years Ethan has direct STREAM SIDE ADVENTURES’s logistical operations in Chile. In addition to guiding in the Missouri Ozarks , Patagonia and for the Wyoming CutSlam, Ethan teaches introductory and advanced fly fishing and tying classes. E is the originator of the OBA – Olive Bodied Adams - and is an award winning nature photographer.
