New Member of Stream Side Adventures Team.
Norm Crisp announced today Duane Brandt has joined the staff of STREAM SIDE ADVENTURES.   Duane has over 25 years of fresh and saltwater fly fishing experience.  Duane will be the lead guide for STREAM SIDE ADVENTURES’ Rocky Mountain National Park trip, which will start in 2008, and run fly fishing classes in the Houston, Texas area. Rangers buckling down on bad behavior. Since most of our fishing on the Current River occurs from mid September through early May, we have never witnessed the disrespect mentioned in this story.  But we know it exists.  While we sometimes mutter about the demands that Superintendent Poe places on those of us with permits to outfit on the Current, we appreciate all he has done and is doing to make Current River experience all they can and should be.  Thank you Superintendent Poe!

The Rains Have Arrived. On Friday, April the 13th, it rained all day on the Current. In the morning the river came up a couple of inches and continued a slow but steady rise all day. The slight rise made the river just slightly milky and put the fish in a feeding mode. Read more...

Wyoming's Snow Pack. The upper North Platte River valley had rather spotty snow levels this winter. For the basin as a whole, this morning the snow pack was 68 percent of normal. That is a bit misleading. South Brush Creek and Sage Basin, stations well below the areas we guide, have virtually no snow so they skew the average. Read more...
